Make Yourself A Priority

Good evening everyone,
It's Saturday evening as I am writing this, so I am a day ahead again (which is incredible!) I have so much planned for Sunday (today as of posting), so I am excited that I have got updating my website and sharing this post done a day early to clear my schedule for after work tomorrow.
I am in a lot better frame of mind this week. I spent a day doing nothing other than work and reading, and it allowed me to clear my mind and to stop stressing out and overwhelming myself.
I also made sure to clear my workload of what I need to do outside of work, which really helped.
I really needed to make myself a priority this week - and it's something I need to keep up. My self care (other than a quick shower) has been non-existent, and I have really felt the lack of it.
This weeks updates on my site:
4 concert photography photos in StormCloud Photography (of Tigress from the Counterfeit 2017 tour - these are the last photos from this tour),
1 blog post of a crafting project in Cloud's Silver Linings (an Embroidery piece this week - I'm Sure This Post Would Have Been Improved With Wine Too! (wixsite.com)),
4 Cloud's Silver Linings Designs - Book Quote Designs (found in the Cloud's Silver Linings Designs tab!!!),
3 book reviews in My Books & Reviews.
These are all from May's Mental Health reads.
I have also just realised in organising and adding content to my website that May's reads have been uploaded into a category which says "April reads" - I have changed it now.
My personal update:
Since the last update, I have read 3 books.
My current read is Just One Day by Gayle Foreman.
I finally got around to making a start on my new course this week (finally!!) - I've only just started, but I'm enjoying it so far! I can't wait to learn more and to put my new skills and techniques into place.
I have finished the first season of Thirteen Reasons Why, and I'm about to start season 2. It's really making me want to re-read the book, even though I read it less than a month ago!! The TV show does sum up the only thing I feel is missing in the book - how the tapes affect people other than Clay.
I have been starting some new projects this week (I briefly discussed it in last weeks update) and I am loving it so far! I can't wait to update you all on what the projects are!!
I haven't really done much else in the way of crafting, however I am in the process of completing a project I had previously started, but it has been a busy week again.
I have added a quote to todays update, as it helped me decide to find the time to prioritise myself this week. And it was beyond worth it. I hope this quote helps someone else who is in need of a break, or who needs to remember that each step you take is another step closer to success and to reaching your goals.
