Taking An Easy Week - A Nightmare Or A Dream Come True?

Good evening everyone, I hope you have had a great week!

This is another week when I am updating my website and scheduling this post early.

This has been a good week for me, for the most part. I have taken it easy this week - taken a step back from all of my out-of-work "responsibilities" and activities (excluding reading). It has given me more time to myself, to look after myself. I have had more opportunity to do my Yoga - enjoying the exercise rather than rushing through it and moving onto the next thing.

It also gave me time to spend with my family - having a couple of family film nights, and celebrating my Mums birthday. I even wore a new outfit - something nice, rather than loungewear of one form or another (I will share the outfit at the bottom of this post).

I feel a lot better after this, I definitely need to keep having weeks like this occasionally.

So I am doing light tasks for the last few days this week (updating my website, sharing this update and creating a couple of bookmark designs.

The fact that it is Friday as I'm sharing this, along with the fact that it's been an easier week, means that there's only been a small update on my website.

This weeks updates on my site:

  • 3 nature photography photos in StormCloud Photography (of bluebells - the last 3 photos in the group),

  • 1 blog post of a crafting project in Cloud's Silver Linings (a follow-on from the scrunchie post I shared the other week - I Can Purl A Rainbow (Scrunchie) (wixsite.com)),

  • 4 Cloud's Silver Linings Designs - Book Quote Designs (found in the Cloud's Silver Linings Designs tab!!!),

  • 3 book reviews in My Books & Reviews.

    • These are the last of my May reads (other than a book I started in May, although I finished reading it in June.

My personal update:

  • Since the last update, I have read 3 books.

  • My current read is The Giver Of Stars by Jojo Moyes.

  • I have nearly finished the first assignment of my new course (that's the point I got up to on Sunday evening last week, as I've taken the time for myself this week). I am hoping to work more on on Sunday (the day this is being shared).

  • I am still watching Thirteen Reasons Why. As of Friday night (when I am typing this), I am watching episode 2 of season 2. Again, this is something I haven't really had the time or opportunity to do this week.

  • As I haven't completed any new craft projects either this week, I wanted to let you know my plan for next week, which is to put together a project I was working on over a few days in the last couple of weeks.

  • I have also made plans with my Mum to work on something together, which will be an exciting new venture that I have been dying to properly start.

I think that's all I have to update you on this week. As I said earlier, it has been an easier week, and one that I have loved (although not one I think I could have every week - I quite enjoy feeling productive, and it was hard not doing everything I usually do. Some days I did just tell myself to stop and calm down, that I don't need to be super productive all the time, that just sometimes, you need to give yourself a week off... or, well 4 days anyway).

Below is a photo of my new outfit (well the jeans are old) - the top was brought from EMP in their Bank Holiday Sale.

This also updates you on the current colour of my hair - unbelievably I am actually trying to wash the colour out of it. You couldn't tell. Especially seeing as it has been this colour for at least the last 2 months! I definitely need to book an appointment with my hairdresser really soon! I can't wait to try something new colour-wise.

This photo doesn't show off my hair growth though - my hair is so long, and although part of me is beyond happy, I also don't know what to do with all this hair (especially in the heat we've been having in the UK this week!!)
